Since it was founded in 1995 in Valence, FIATEQ, a subsidiary of the Altelios Technology Group, has been operating through its Technical Development Centre on activities related to Operational Security and Integrated Support Logistics in the electronics, electrical engineering, mechatronics, mechanics, electrical engineering, civil engineering, industrial engineering and software sectors.

 

The company is involved throughout the entire product development cycle: from the system component from the research and development phase to industrialisation.

Jean-Jacques, Technical Director Operational Security and Integrated Support Logistics:

Since joining the ALTELIOS TECHNOLOGY Group in 2011, FIATEQ has experienced significant growth in its technical assistance activities (+350%).

For clients located mainly in Rhône Alpes, we have hired numerous staff: specialised engineers, general engineers, test and bench testing technicians, electronic design, mechanical design, mechanical engineering, quality assurance studies, production and suppliers, installation and industrial maintenance abroad, methods and industrialisation, project management etc.

Although Aeronautics is our main sector (an historical sector for FIATEQ), we also operate in heavy and light industry, railways, nuclear power, and luxury goods.

 

FIATEQ has assisted clients or more than 21 years in its specialist area of Operational Security, throughout the national territory and also in Germany and Switzerland, in very diverse fields.

We have been charged with Reliability Studies (MTBF – Mean Time Between Failure), FMEA (Analysis of Failure Modes, their Effects and Criticality), and analyses of dangerous events (Fault Tree Analysis).

We study the feasibility and dimensioning of some studies and estimate a preliminary quantification.

Some technical studies have been completed on equipment, embedded systems, industrial and aeronautical systems. Others have been used to analyse the availability on a complete Voltaic park and the Risk of power supply of the Hospital of Alès. Also, FMEA Process analyses on all manufacturing operations on a reactor power transmission subsystem to power the auxiliaries on an aircraft reactor, and a full Operational Security analysis on one in-flight re-fuelling platform for the Rafale… in fact, hundreds of different studies ranging from a simple sensor or inductive proximity sensor to the complete control system of a marine radar 14 metres in diameter.

We mainly hire young, rigorous engineers who we train in our profession and methods with a very high success rate as our profession increases their technical culture, allowing them to work on a wide range of technical solutions. Our team at the Technical Development Centre in Valence is composed of half a dozen engineers.
